I'm a Southern California native (by way of South Africa) who lives in Denver, Colorado with my husband and two dogs. I teach the toddler group at our community synagogue preschool, and love anything to do with pregnancy, babies, and early childhood education.

I started this blog in 2011 as a way to escape from the daily grind of graduate school studies (read: flashcards, research, and biostats, blech!) I now have my Masters Degree in Public Health and am certified as a lactation educator counselor. I love love love to cook, bake, and eat almost as much as I love kids!What started out as a food blog has now turned into a full-fledged lifestyle blog, where I can share not only the joys of foodi-dom with you, but tips on health, home organization and design, and anything pretty.To me pretty means unique, quirky, uplifting or inspirational. Pretty much anything that brings a smile to my face or excitement to my palate.
